Washington DC  Ashim Malhotra Indian National Congress has reposed faith in a combination of Old war horses with their young Stallions, Rahul Gandhi, leading the pack for the race of Lok Sabha 2014. Former Chief Minister Capt. Amarinder Singh today urged Congress Working Comm., to appoint an acting president in place on incumbent Partap Singh Bajwa till the parliamentary  elections are over. Partap is candidate from Gurdaspur against BJP Star Vinod Khanna.

In 2009, after Mohinder Singh Kaypee was declared Congress candidate from Jalandhar, the AICC had appointed Lal Singh as working president of the PPCC. Congress has declared sitting MLA’s and MP’s, namely Sunil Jakhar, Vija Inder Singla, Preneet Kaur, Ambika Soni, Panjghrian, Santosh Chaudhry, Capt. Amarinder Singh, to contest in 2014 Lok Sabha seats. Indian Overseas Congress, Punjab Chapter president Dr. Jaswant Cheema, has urged AICC President Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, to honor the desires and feelings of 8 Million NRI’s residing in the USA, Canada, U.K., Australia, Malyasia, Singapore to appoint IOC President Vikram Jit Bajwa, as Working President of Punjab (PPCC), to garner the moral support of 8 Million NRI’s, converting it to a 5 Million vote for the Congress Party in Punjab, Gujarat , Kerala and Maharashtra. IOC Vice President Samir Patel, endorsed the name of Vikram Bajwa to Rahul Gandhi and Secretary Incharge Punjab Shakeel Ahmed. Capt. Aamrinder Singh had proposed the name of sitting MLA Lal Singh to act as Working President of Punjab Pradesh Congress Comm. NRI  Bobby Sandhu strongly feels all MLA’s ,M.P.’s should concentrate to win the Lok Sabha, while campaigning and Office work for 1 Month should be handled by NRI’s in Punjab, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Kerala.

IOC President Vikram Jit Bajwa, former Executive member Rajiv Gandhi Foundation USA, has the capacity to take all the Punjab Leaders together against SAD-BJP campaign, while being impartial to various groups, within PPCC. Aam Admi NRI member Sunil Gupta, while joining Indian Overseas Congress, supported the idea of NRI participation at a higher level in Indian Politics, which will enhance the winning capabilities of Congress.

When asked for comments on his name being proposed to Mrs. Sonia Gandhi, for Working President of PPCC, “United we stand, Divided we fall”, will be our moto, said Bajwa Vikram Jit. AICC Foreign Affairs Chairman Dr. Karan Singh has been forwarded the request to be present to CWC, for consideration and involve the NRI’s, to winback Gujarat, Punjab, Kerala and Maharashtra, said former MLA Kanti Bhai Patel of Gujarat.
