Press Release: Indie Authors Name Guyanese American Author’S Book As First Critics’ Choice Selection in New Worldwide Website Launch
LIGHTNING RELEASES 04/06/14 –New Jersey, USA – The Indie Authors Roundup, an online publication/website of Xlibris Corporation, arguably the world’s largest print-on-demand publisher, has named Guyanese American author Christopher Persaud’s book, The Da Vinci Code Revisited: A Conclusive Refutation of the Widespread, Sinister Lie (Xlibris Corporation, USA, 2010, revised 2013) as its first Critics’ Choice selection.
Xlibris Corporation has published more than 50,000 titles by some 40,000 authors over the 16 years of its existence. Indie Authors officials chose Persaud’s book from the organization’s library of multitudinous publications. The Critics’ Choice selection shall remain a permanent feature on the Indie Authors Roundup website, which the organization launched recently on the worldwide web.
The Da Vinci Code Revisited: A Conclusive Refutation of the Sinister, Widespread Lie was adjudged a First Prize winner in the international Christian Choice Book Awards contest in 2010, taking top honors in the Theology/Inspirational Writing category. The award was broadcast in numerous press releases the New York and New Jersey areas and on the worldwide Internet. The Christian Choice Book Awards is an international competition that attracts hundreds of self-published titles from across the United States and abroad each year.
The above-mentioned award followed on the heels of a previous award that Persaud won for his 2008 book, Evolution: Beyond the Realm of Real Science (Xulon Press, USA), which was named the Christian Choice Book of 2008 after winning the competition’s Grand Prize. The competition’s sponsors advertised Evolution: Beyond the Realm of Real Science on over one hundred Christian radio stations across America. The book was promoted in press releases in newspapers in New York and New Jersey and on the Internet as well. Incidentally, 2008 was the Christian Choice Book Awards inaugural year.
Persaud’s 2013 book, Contending for the Faith: 22 Methodical Arguments for Biblical Truth, was adjudged one of the top three selections in the Theology category at the 2013 Christian Writers Awards, another inspirational self-published book competition. This was Christopher’s third international award.
Most of Persaud’s writings revolve around Christian apologetics and Bible prophecy. His other books are God in Our Midst, Transformed Lives and Famous People Speak about Jesus, all published by Xlibris Corporation, USA. Christopher is also a published poet whose work has appeared in a number of international poetry anthologies.
The author lives in New Milford, New Jersey with his wife Pamela. They have three sons, Duane, Jason and Justin.
