Tactus chief executive Craig Ciesla said that the company raised $13.5 million in its Series B round, with ThomVest as the lead investor, with Ryoyo, Wistron and other undisclosed strategic and financial investors participating. Ciesla says that the company is using the money to scale up its production in the wake of the Wistron partnership. While the company sees the greatest demand in mobile computing, Ciesla says the company will look beyond mobile devices to the automotive space to solve the driver distraction issue.
