Calling Carlos Slim a “modern business icon” and a “humble leader,” a new book called The World’s Richest Man: Carlos Slim In His Own Words, wastes no words in praising the Mexican tycoon’s ascent to the position of world’s wealthiest. In 2010, Slim grabbed the title of world’s richest man from Microsoft founder Bill Gates, thus becoming the first and so far the only person from a developing nation to top Forbes’ World Billionaires list. But his four-year run as world’s richest man came to an end this year. With a net worth estimated at $70 billion, Slim is currently the world’s second richest man, after Gates.
