On-demand ride service Uber continues to test out new products and services in New York City. Just a few weeks after making a courier service available there, the company is now launching a product for passengers who need to get their children around town. Today the company is announcing uberFAMILY, which was first reported by VentureBeat last week. According to New York City GM Josh Mohrer, to launch uberFAMILY, the company has recruited “several hundred” of its top-rated UberX drivers in the city to drive around with child car seats in their trunks.
