Stocks are closing slightly higher trading as investors consider the latest news on corporate deals. The Dow Jones industrial average rose 20 points, or 0.1 percent, to close at 16,511 on Monday. The Standard & Poor’s 500 index rose seven points, or 0.4 percent, to 1,885 and the Nasdaq composite rose 35 points, or 0.9 percent, to 4,125. The yield on the 10-year Treasury note rose to 2.54 percent.
