Anyone expecting a big turnaround in Hewlett-Packard’s business in the last quarter must have been disappointed—revenues in most of the company’s segments continued to decline. Nonetheless, HP’s stock headed north on Wall Street on Friday morning trade–investors focused on the announcement of another round of layoffs that is expected to improve the company’s efficiency and bottom line.
