Maya Angelou — one of America’s most famous poets — died last night in a Winston-Salem, North Carolina hospital while recovering from a mystery sickness. She has received more than 30 honorary degrees from universities around the world. Maya was supposed to be honored Friday in houston where she was supposed to receive the Beacon of Life Award. Angelou was one of the most inspiring poets of our time — most famously saying “I’ve learned that peolpe will forget what you said, peolpe will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
