Where do you go if you’ve been passed over to run one of the biggest tech companies in the world? GoPro, apparently. The camera maker announced Wednesday that it has hired Tony Bates to take over as its president and board member. Bates was previously CEO of Skype and became an executive VP at Microsoft when it acquired Skype for $8.5 billion in 2011.
