Looks like the weather gods, who have taken a lot of grief in recent months, also have made for some soggy earnings at Krispy Kreme. Or so the company says about its rough first quarter. Little wonder, the company’s shares dropped more than 10% in after market trading on Monday, down $1.94 at $17.06. Lousy weather in the Southeast also resulted in a 1.5% drop in same-store sales at company-owned shops for the quarter ended May 4.
