Obama Does Lunch Outside The White House
On Monday, it was a Starbucks run. On Tuesday, President Obama again broke away from the confines of the White House, lunching with Education Secretary Arne Duncan in nearby Alexandria, Virginia. Obama shook hands with fellow patrons at FireFlies Restaurant, but cautioned them: No selfies because “I’ll be here too long” otherwise. “I’ve got to get back to work pretty quick,” Obama said. Obama visited FireFlies because one of the owners “wrote to the President and asked that he visit her restaurant to try the best burger around,” said a White House statement. The burger run is the latest in a pattern of Obama’s efforts to break out what he calls the “White House bubble.”
