British Army Capt. Harry Wales actually was honoring the military when he met Shenkin, the regimental mascot goat of the Royal Welsh Battalion, on the red carpet at a screening in London today of the classic film Zulu , digitally re-mastered for its 50th anniversary. If it seems daft, it’s not, because the British Army is almost as famous for its mascots (dogs, ponies, goats) as its battles.
