President Obama has visited 47 foreign nations in his time in office, but his trip Friday was his first to an American Indian nation in his own back yard. Obama’s visit to Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Nation in Cannon Ball, N.D. marked only the fourth time in history that a sitting president has visited Indian country.
