Florida Execution Is Nation’s Third In 24 Hours
In the third execution nationwide in less than 24 hours, a three-time Florida murderer was put to death by lethal injection Wednesday evening. The execution was the state’s 13th since April 2013 and the 18th since Gov. John Ruthell Henry, 63, was pronounced dead about 7:50 p.m. after being injected with three drugs at the Florida State Prison in Starke. He was convicted in the 1985 stabbing deaths of Suzanne Henry and her 5-year-old son near Tampa.
