It’s traditional for some of Brazil’s biggest samba schools to throw parties that are open to the public before World Cup games. Sociedade Rosas de Ouro, one of the largest and most storied of Sao Paulo’s 90-plus samba schools, hosted a bash before Tuesday’s Brazil-Mexico game, combining two of the nation’s passions: soccer and samba.
