A series of employment reports highlight that employment is finally catching up to the broader U.S. economic recovery. The unemployment rate dropped to 6.1%, the lowest rate since September 2008, and the U.S. economy added a robust 288,00 jobs in June — the fifth straight month of big gains. The U.S. trade deficit fell 5.6% to $44.4 billion as exports hit record highs and imports dipped. But it’s not all good news.
