AMC Theater Chain Spending $600M To Add Fully Reclining Seats
AMC Entertainment Holdings is spending $600 million to remodel its theaters with larger, fully reclining seats. According to the Wall Street Journal, AMC, which is the nation’s second-largest theater chain, plans to install “La-Z-Boy-type seats” that fully recline in its theaters. As a result, between 50 percent and 70 percent of seats in a given theater will be removed to make room for the larger chairs.
