Join us to learn about how the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) leverages the CIM to manage its Transmission network models across the Operations, Planning and Market domains.

ERCOT’s Network Model Management System (NMMS) is a key component of the integrated set of systems that work together to support ERCOT’s Nodal Market and its reliability functions.  First going into production in mid-2009, the CIM-based NMMS has been expanded and refined and today provides a centralized grid model maintenance environment with CIM-based data interfaces to ERCOT’s Planning, Market and Operations network analysis systems. NMMS facilitates a single point of information entry for member Transmission Service Providers (TSPs) and to store Resource Entity (REs) provided updates to their portions of the Texas grid model.

John Moseley, PE.  Principal Engineer for Model Architecture and Integration at ERCOT, John has been a key participant in the development and deployment of ERCOT’s NMMS.
