AUDI has unveiled a new-generation “clean diesel” V6 engine in Austria overnight that will be up to 13 per cent more fuel efficient than its predecessor and could find its way under the bonnet of the next-generation Q7 SUV due later this year, among others. The new 3.0-litre V6 TDI engine will be available in two states of tune – 160kW and 200kW – and while it has not confirmed peak torque figures, the German car-maker said it would be as high as 600Nm depending on the model.
