Time Warner Cable announced on Friday its plans to bring high-speed broadband to Los Angeles. The company claims it has invested more than $1.5 billion in its Los Angeles infrastructure, which enables it to introduce gigabit-per-second broadband speeds in 2016. According to the Los Angeles Times , the announcement comes in response to a document released by the city, asking companies how LA can compete with cities that have access to Google Fiber, AT&T’s U-Verse with GigaPower and more.
