Luis Suarez has arrived in Lausanne, Switzerland, for his appeal against a four-month bite ban – with his lawyers confident of having it reduced. The Uruguayan is contesting the penalty, dished out last month at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, after the striker bit Italy’s Giorgio Chiellini during Uruguay’s 1-0 win on June 24th in this summer’s World Cup. Lawyers representing the Barcelona man are confident of having the ban cut in half to two months, while they are also hoping he can train with his new side between now and then. No time is set for the decision, but one is expected at some point today.
