A coach carrying 53 adults and children on a daytrip to the seaside overturned in a ditch off the M5 near Gloucestershire, causing a handful of minor injuries. The coach, which was taking a group from the children’s charity on a day out to Weston-super-Mare, veered off the motorway near Stroud shortly after 10 a.m. The Highways Agency declared it a “serious incident,” as emergency services rushed to the scene. However, paramedics said only seven people – including the coach driver – needed treatment for minor injuries, which were described as “non-life-changing and not life-threatening”. A Gloucestershire police spokesman said it was not yet known what caused the crash, nor whether any other vehicles were involved.
