Your Tunes World: a totally unique social media music app

Users can listen to their favorite music and connect with other people around the globe.

LIGHTNING RELEASES: South Perth, Australia (8/21/2014)- It’s a combination of Pandora, Facebook, iTunes and Spotify. Joel Roberts of South Perth, Australia, has come up with Your Tunes World, the ultimate musical social networking app.

“This unique new music dating app allows you to listen to your favourite music and connect with other people around the globe,” explained Roberts. “All of this happens on your mobile device. This app is not just another music player, it’s a social network where people connect with others around their musical tastes.”

With Your Tunes World (, members post a profile with their personal information, including a photo, and musical tastes. Users post as much or as little information as they want. When listening to your songs through the Your Tunes World App, users can see who else is listening to the same songs, view the listener’s profile and “friend” them.

That’s when the fun starts. Users can post comments about songs, start discussions and contact their friends. Members can search for friends all over the world or in their local area. Everything happens in real time so users get live notifications of friend requests, comments and discussions.  Members can also share their favorite songs on Facebook and Twitter, and purchase them on iTunes.

The music player has a full set of controls for maximum listening quality and the screen displays the song title, album title, artist and album cover.

Roberts needs about $60,000 to complete the technical production of the app and market this new product. To generate this start-up funding, he has launched an Indiegogo campaign, which can be viewed at

Donations of any amount are welcome. He is also seeking investors and collaborators.

“This is a great way to connect with other like-minded individuals,” Roberts said. “You can use it as a dating site or one to find friends around the globe. Have you ever wondered what music people like you are listening to Europe or China? This is a fun way to find out.

“You can share your favourite songs, start a discussion, match your music favourites with other users, and much more. This is one social network that won’t get boring.”

For additional information, visit or the Your Tunes World website, Roberts is looking for ways to make this app even better so he is encouraging music lovers to contact him at [email protected].

“This is a new concept in social media and it’s ready to take off,” said Roberts.
