“Orange Is the New Black,” ”House of Cards” and “Modern Family” are among the Emmy nominees aiming for the history books. At Monday’s Emmy Awards in Los Angeles, the prison-set dark comedy “Orange Is the New Black” and political drama “House of Cards” could become the first online shows to claim top series awards. If “Modern Family” claims the top comedy series award, it will tie all-time sitcom champ “Frasier” with five each. The ceremony, with host Seth Meyers, airs 8 p.m. Eastern on NBC.
