Microsoft unveiled its latest Nokia Lumia smartphone series in Berlin on Thursday, and the main message was price. With only 2% market share in smartphones despite solid reviews for its Microsoft Windows Phone 8 operating system, the software giant is still trying to come up with a strategy to take on Samsung, Google and Apple in devices. These are all real smartphones, equipped with sharp cameras, the Cortana personal assistant (think of Apple’s Siri), Skype and an OS that has wooed critics if not consumers.
