Bank of America Merrill Lynch (NYSE: BAC) Appoints Former Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) Employee as New Vice Chairman of Global Markets

Bank of America (NYSE: BAC)’s Merrill Lynch unit has appointed Hayley Boesky, a Goldman Sachs (NYSE: GS) alumni, as the company’s new Vice Chairman of Global Markets.

According to a statement from the company, Boesky will work to strengthen the company’s client relationships by making use of her expertise and contacts with some of the world’s largest institutional investors.

Prior to her position with Bank of America Merrill Lynch, Boesky worked for the Federal Reserve Bank of New York since 2007 where she served as a senior officer and director of market analysis.  She has also worked at Goldman Sachs as the company’s Chief U.S. Interest Rate Product Strategist and as a Director of Relative Value and Derivatives at a top tier hedge fund.

Boesky graduated from the University of Pennsylvania and later obtained a doctorate in astrophysics from Columbia University.
