Citibank Pakistan (NYSE: C) Extends Partnership with ORIX

Citibank’s (NYSE: C) Pakistan operations has signed a new agreement with ORIX to renew the provision of a POS terminal facility to Visa and MasterCard Credit Card holders in Pakistan.

The agreement allows Visa and MasterCard customers a facility to make use of Citibank Merchant touch points throughout Pakistan.

Citibank and ORIX have had a long standing partnership in the country dating back to 2003.

According to a press release from the two companies, “Renewal of this partnership underscores their joint aim to consolidate and bolster this relationship in the retail acquiring space. Most importantly, if offers the POS terminal value proposition not only to Citibank credit card customers, but to all Visa and MasterCard customer in Pakistan.”

Citi Pakistan’s Consumer Business Head Azim Alvi commented to the press, “Our POS terminal facility enhances customer convenience, by providing credit card access to Vise and MasterCard customer at an array of touch points. As always, Citibank remains committed to introducing innovative, value-additional services to Pakistani market and is happy to partner with ORIX to provide greater convenience to customer.”
