Citigroup, Inc (NYSE: C) Appoints New Asia Executive

Citigroup, Inc (NYSE: C) announced on Tuesday that it has appointed Javed Kureishi as its new head of its Asian global subsidiaries group.

Kureishi currently serves as chief operating officer for Citigroup, Inc (NYSE: C)’ Middle East operations and will be replacing Agnes Liew, who will become Citigroup, Inc (NYSE: C)’s head of Asia Pacific corporate banking. Kureishi, who will be based out of Singapore, will take on his new role on September 1st and report to Robert Snell, global head of the global subsidiaries group, and Farhan Faruqui, head of global banking Asia Pacific.

Citigroup, Inc (NYSE: C) global subsidiaries group has operations in 16 countries in the Asia Pacific region and works with more than 85% of the Fortune 500 companies which operate in the region.
