Bank of America (NYSE: BAC) announced last week that its auto eLending website has been rated number one in customer service for online auto financing by a leading trade publication.
Auto Finance News ranked Bank of America’s website the best among websites of the nation’s top 20 auto financing firms. According to the publication, it tested the sites in November posing as a potential car buyer.
Each auto finance website was graded on speed, ease of finding information, personalization, usefulness and a handful of other variables.
“Our auto eLending site sets the standard for quickly providing customers with the information they need, including straightforward loan information,” said Joseph Decker, Bank of America eLending National Sales manager. “This ranking confirms the success of our process and our commitment to meeting customers’ needs in a timely manner.”
eLending, which is part of the bank’s Dealer Financial Services unit, is a direct-to-consumer online lending channel that provides customers with information and resources for financing an auto, RV or boat. Bank of America is one of the largest providers of retail financing for auto, RV and boat dealers and consumers in the U.S., with more than 10,000 dealer clients.
Auto financing is just one of Bank of America’s several financing businesses. The bank also serves the residential mortgage market financing 14 million residential home loans, the most among all U.S. banks.
