Paul Donofrio has been named the new head of Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s (NYSE: BAC) global corporate and investment banking .
Mr. Donofrio will replace Cathy Bessnat, who has been named the company’s new global technology and operations executive. Donofrio will continue to report to Tom Montag, who was named Bank of America’s global banking and markets president last year.
London-based Donofrio has been with Bank of America, the parent company of Merrill Lynch, since 1999.
The Charllotte N.C. based bank said that Mr. Donofrio “played a critical” role during the merger between Bank of America and Merril Lynch and led the integration of the two company’s corporate and investment banking businesses.
