JP Morgan Chase (NYSE: JPM) Hires New Global Head of Equity Derivatives

J.P. Morgan Chase (NYSE: C) announced on Thursday that Tim Throsby will join the conglomerate’s investment bank as its new global head of equity derivatives and regional head of equities for Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

Throsby will report to Carlos Hernandez, global head of equities.

“We are thrilled that Tim has decided to join J.P. Morgan,” said Hernandez. “With more than 20 years of experience and a profound knowledge of the markets, Tim brings tremendous expertise to our global franchise.”

Most recently, Throsby was a partner at Citadel, where he ran the firm’s Asia and Japan businesses. Previously, he spent three years working at Lehman Brothers where he served as the head of Asian equities before becoming the global head of equity derivatives, convertibles and risk arbitrage. He had also spent eight years at Goldman Sachs, where he was head of equity derivatives for Asia.

JP Morgan has also recently added Frank Troise, who was named global head of Electronic Client Solutions, to the company’s global equities division in January.
