Lending Club, a company which offers a peer to peer lending marketplace, has extended a contest that they are running to collect backgrounds for their new homepage to May 31st. The contest was originally scheduled to end on April 30th.
Lending club said that it has received 180 photos for its new website that has a background which change son a regular basis, similar to that of Microsoft’s new Bing search engine.
Lending Club Director of Product Strategy, Rob Garcia, wrote on Lending Club’s website that “Due to the popularity of the Lending Club photo contest, we have decided to extend the entry deadline to May 31, 2010 to give many others the chance to submit their great photos. With 180+ photos submitted so far, we are thrilled to see such great images like this one or this one, but also a bit puzzled by some submissions like this one, this one or this one. Yes, folks, puppies, babies and… (female pugilists?!?!) are cute, but what do they have to do with Lending Club? Not quite sure.”
