Audible.com is currently offering a free trial to its monthly audio-book subscription service to any and all new users.

The company offers two subscription plans, a “gold” membership, which normally retails for $14.95 which gets users one audio book per month and a platinum membership which normally runs for $22.95 per month.

Currently, the Audible.com Free Trial offer which is available is a 14 day free trial on the gold membership. If you want to take advantage of the free trial, you can sign-up using the link on the bottom of this article. You’ll get a free audio book and 14 days use of the service. If you don’t want to continue, you can simply cancel the service via Audible’s website and you won’t be billed. You’ll also be able to keep the audio book that you got from your trial.

After your 14 day trial, your membership will renew each month for just $14.95 per month so you can continue to receive one audiobook credit per month plus members-only discounts on all audio purchases. A very small number of titles are more than one credit. Cancel your membership before your free trial period is up and you will not be charged. Thereafter, cancel anytime, effective the next billing cycle. Any unused audiobook credits will be lost at cancellation.

If you’re unfamiliar with Audible.com, the service is, according to Wikipedia, “an Internet provider of spoken audio entertainment, information, and educational programming. Audible sells digital audiobooks, radio and TV programs, and audio versions of magazines and newspapers” The company is owned by Amazon.com and has a near-monopoly in the online digital download market for audio-books. Audible’s content includes over 75,000 titles by more than 600 different providers, amounting to over 100,000,000 hours of audio programming.  Content includes books of all genres, as well as radio shows (classic and current), speeches, interviews, stand-up comedy, and audio versions of periodicals such as the New York Times and the Wall Street Journal.
