Wells Fargo & Co. (NYSE: WFC) has appointed Natalie Cohen to the company’s research and economics department of its securities unit as a managing director and senior municipal-bond analyst.
Cohen, who will be based in New York, started a consulting firm named National Municipal Research Inc. She also holds a master of public administration degree from New York University. Previously she was a managing director for bond insurer Financial Security Assurance, according to a statement from the company. The firm said that she had also worked for New York City’s budget office, Moody’s Investors Service, American Capital Access and Enhance Reinsurance/Asset Guaranty and is the author of thepublicpurse.com, a blog on U.S. state and local trends.
“Natalie’s extensive knowledge and experience in the industry will significantly enhance our service capabilities,” Diane Schumaker-Krieg, the San Francisco-based bank’s global head of research and economics, said in the statement.
