HSBC Holdings (NYSE:HBC) Appoints Peter Boyles as new European CEO

HSBC Holdings (NYSE: HBC) announced today that it has appointed Peter Boyles as its new chief executive for continental Europe

Boyles, currently the bank’s head of French operations and a 35-year veteran of HSBC, will lead a new team based on Paris that will be responsible for 26 countries across continental Europe, including France, Germany, Turkey, and other European states.

Boyles will report to Stuart Gulliver who is HSBC’s chairman of Europe and Middle East and head of global investment banking.
