How to Inspire Change

While there are always ways for businesses to try and generate revenue and make a large profit, the truth is there are also other organizations founded each and every day with the hopes of changing the world for the better. If you happen to be involved with a nonprofit, have an organization that employs a strong corporate social responsibility, or you simply want to solve a problem with research or action that no-one else is addressing, you need to make sure you know the best ways to help others to change.

Grow Awareness

Whether you are getting out and leaving flyers, interviewing people on the street, staging parades and protests, or just giving out SWAG, you have to make sure others know what you stand for before you can try to persuade them to join. According to Creative Guerrilla Marketing, there are more than enough ways to grow your brand especially if you can get others to become comfortable with it first. When you start to recognize people using keychains, sporting bumper stickers, wearing bracelets, or even passing out t-shirts, you know people will start to recognize who you are and what you stand for.

Plus, when you think about the costs of growing awareness, most of that free SWAG you can give out is relatively cheap as well. Once your brand and cause can spread out and is recognized, that’s when people will take the next steps and will try to help you further the cause.

Leave No Stone Unturned

One of the hardest things to do when you are getting your message started and your organization off of the ground is to figure out who to turn to. The truth is there are more individuals out there who want to help you than you can imagine, but you do need to discover where they are and how you can bring them in. Your biggest partner might be 500 miles away, but if you can’t figure out how to contact them you will never get their help and your ability to further your own cause will be extremely limited.

The good news is if you can tap into the power of large scale townhall events by Bluejeans, you will be able to discuss anything with anyone and they can be anywhere. You can have donors in other states, strategy experts overseas, and even collect support from people on the other side of the planet. If you tap into the power of video conferencing, then your cause will not be limited by any physical distance in any shape or form.

Use Public Figures

For whatever reason, the public will absolutely listen to a celebrity or a recognizable figure. Michael Jordan might not eat McDonald’s, but when he says the burger are good then others will listen. In the same way, when you can find someone who is a real figure and a recognizable individual, you will absolutely tap into the star power and fandom created by your brand. You might not be able to get a multinational star, but according to All American Speakers, if you find someone who is popular enough to be recognized, then you are able to bring instant credibility and respect to your cause as well as expose it to a plethora of fans and viewers out of nowhere.

Make A Difference

One of the biggest things your organization can do to is to show inspiration. Go out and actually make the changes you say you want to and that you believe in, and then show the results to others so that they can capture and partake in those very victories you are trying to achieve. If you can bring the people proven results, then you will have a much better shot of being able to bring others onboard.

People don’t want to deal with pipe dreams. What they want is to know there are results waiting for them. If you can actually start making changes (even if they are small), then you can show those changes and accomplishments to others and your cause will gain instant credibility as well as spread inspiration needed to attract more followers and champions of the cause.

When it comes down to the specifics, you just need to remember to push the message forward in order to make a significant impact. Every cause has a goal, and if you can get others to believe in your process by showing them the results, you will complete whatever it is you set out to do originally. The one roadblock in the way of your success is just the doubt of others, so if you can do whatever is necessary to prove them wrong while continuing to coax them along the way, you will have a much better shot at success.
