Google, Inc (NASDAQ: GOOG) has published a list of the 1,000 most visited websites with Facebook being listed as the most visited site online with more than 570 billion page views, 540 million unique users per month and a reach of more than 35.2%.
Google, which does not include its own sites in the ranking, made use of its AdPlanner platform that it had taken over as part of its 2007 Doubleclick acquisition. The service is designed for advertisers that want to create campaigns on specific websites. The list is updated on a monthly basis and publishes a list of unique users and page views for a given domain on a monthly basis.
With more than 540 million unique visitors last month, Facebook is well on its way to having more than half of a billion active users.
Microsoft’s Live.com took third place with 370 million users and 39 million unique page views.
Jimmy Wales’ Wikipedia took fourth place with 310 million visitors and only 7.9 billion page views.
